Things to know before you work with me

You know where you’re going

It’s a hell of a lot easier to know what a “done” email looks like if you know where you are now, and where you want to be.
This means that you should have an idea of how your previous emails have converted, and that you should have a idea of how you want our project email to convert.

You already have an audience (some of who are preferably customers)

The easiest way to get more customers is to work out what it was that attracted the customers you already have, and do more of that.
This means you need customers that we can talk to.
Alternatively you’ll need a lot of eyeballs on your site to make up for not having customers. It’s harder, but it can be done.

You’re willing to put in the work

You (or a trusted assistant) will need to be an active part in the email review process.
What’s perfect for your customers may not fit in with your desired voice.
The text can be cut to size and the easiest way to do that is to be an active participant in the process.

You actually have a budget for this project

A lot of work will go into this email.
A lot of money will be generated by this email if we just follow the process and invest the time and money required.
Email projects typically cost upwards of £1,500 depending on the extras that are asked for.

You are willing to devote time to this project

The usual process calls for a road-mapping session (where we determine the true requirements of the project) and three draft reviews.
I will also require access to 3 to 5 customers who are willing to be interviewed as a part of the research phase.
The return on investment for you from this email project will be huge if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

You’re excited about your business

I need to know that you’re excited about your business.
The best emails generate palpable excitement both in those that work for your business and for those buying your products.
How can you expect your customers to care if you don’t?
